My Opponent

The current Illinois state senator for the 10th district is Democrat Rob Martwick, who has been in Springfield (as state Representative for the 19th district) since January, 2013 and in the state Senate since June, 2019, when he was appointed to complete the term of John Mulroe, who was appointed to be a judge.  In that time, his campaigns have been funded by the avowed communists of the Chicago Teachers' Union leadership to the tune of over $140,000, which is the most of any Springfield legislator.  Thus he was a strong supporter of Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson's election and supports the CTU's unconscionable attempts to deceitfully maintain control of the Chicago School Board and thus of unlimited aspects of city government.

He has also followed the lead of long-time Illinois Speaker of the House, Michael Madigan, in maintaining a private property tax appeals law practice.  And of course, as a loyal Democrat, he was a sponsor of the SAFE-T Act that undermines law enforcement and gives preference to accused criminals over crime victims.
